La pergola first began as a coffee shop in the 1960’s and then as one of Carlisles first Italian restaurants, becoming La Pergola in 1991.
Since then it has become a part of the eating out scene in Carlisle, with a wide selection of dishes from simple pizzas and pastas to a range of starter, meat and fish dishes for that special occasion.
The main dining room has 7 tables and yet can seat up to 30 persons in comfort, while a small private dining room can seat up to 14 persons at the rear of the restaurant.
Some tables are set aside in prvate alcoves- perfect for a romantic meal for 2 or for a party of 4.
A happy hour runs every lunch time and early evening, and all night Monday, where some 30 dishes are at a reduced price, yet the portion quantity and quality remains the same.
A well stocked bar offers a comprehensive list of spirits, malts whiskeys, lager, bitter, soft drinks and local sparkling water. |
